Day 1 - London to Paris on the Eurostar
We leave St Pancras International by Eurostar for Paris. On arrival in the French capital we transfer to the Mercure Gare de Lyon, where we overnight. You are free this evening to dine in a local restaurant.
Day 2 - Exploring Paris
Today you are at leisure to explore Paris. It is a chance to visit some of the fantastic sights that we see on tonight's dinner cruise. In the afternoon we transfer to our floating hotel, the MS Botticelli or MS France, our home for the next four nights. After a welcome cocktail, we enjoy dinner on board while cruising through the French capital. During our dinner cruise we see the illuminated sights of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Palais, the Orangerie, the Louvre and Notre-Dame Cathedral. (B,D)
Day 3 - Les Andelys and Rouen
Our day begins with breakfast on board as we cruise away from Paris. We sail through a number of locks as we make our way past some of the region's delightful towns and villages, including Conflans St Honorine, the bustling town of Vernon and on towards Les Andelys. This afternoon you can join an optional shore excursion to visit the Château of Martainville, a fantastic 15th century Renaissance castle. We rejoin the boat in Rouen, the former capital of Normandy. After dinner this evening you have the chance to join an optional walking tour of the historic Old City. (B,L,D)
Day 4 - Honfleur
This morning we arrive in the pretty fishing port of Honfleur, located on the Norman coast. Honfleur was the inspiration for artists like Monet, Courbet and Boudin who chose this historic fishing port as the location for the Ecole de Honfleur, an artists' colony which inspired the Impressionist movement. Despite its popularity, Honfleur retains its timeless character and charm. An optional walking tour of Honfleur explores the picturesque streets and visits Saint Catherine Church, built entirely of wood. Our optional excursion this afternoon includes a visit to a local Calvados distillery for a tour and tasting of Normandy's celebrated spirit. We leave Honfleur after dinner, sailing under the superb Pont de Normandie and up the Seine. (B,L,D)
We spend the day cruising upstream, passing charming towns and villages as we head through the picturesque countryside that lines the banks of the Seine. During the cruise we enjoy a traditionally Parisian "guinguette" experience on board. This evening we have dinner and a gala evening on board to celebrate the final night of the cruise. (B,L,D)
Day 6 - Homeward bound
We reach Paris this morning, where we transfer to the station and connect with the Eurostar to St Pancras International in London. (B)
