Highlights of Turkey. Fully escorted
The highlights start with two nights in Istanbul before taking in Gallipoli, Canakkale, Troy, Izmir, Pamukkale and Bursa on this fascinating introduction to a wonderful country.
Days 1-2 - Istanbul
Fly from the UK to Istanbul (2nights). Visit the Topkapi
Palace and St. Sophia's Basilica. Continue to the Blue Mosque, the Byzantine
Hippodrome and finally the Grand Bazaar.
Day 3 - Istanbul - Gallipoli - Canakkale
Depart
for Gallipoli and visit the Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery and Chanuk Bair. Continue
to Canakkale (overnight).
Day 4 - Canakkale - Troy - Pergamon - Izmir
Visit
Troy and stop at the ancient kingdom of Pergamon to visit the Acropolis and the
Temple of Athena.
Day 5 - Izmir - Ephesus - Virgin Mary's House – Pamukkale
Set off
for Ephesus to see the Great Theatre, the Temple of Hadrian, and the House of
the Virgin Mary, then continues to Pamukkale to relax in the thermal pools at
the hotel.
Day 6 - Pamukkale - Hierapolis - Bursa
Visit
to Pamukkale, then visit Hierapolis before continuing north to the city of
Bursa.
Day 7 - Bursa - Istanbul
Visit the Green Ottoman Complex
and the old silk market, then cross the Marmara Sea to Istanbul.
Day 8 - Depart Istanbul
Return to the airport for your scheduled flight to the UK. On arrival, your driver will escort you to your car for your transfer to your home*.
